Gabby will join luxury outdoor furniture brand and sister company Summer Classics this year in celebrating the 16th Annual Garden Party. Designers and dealers from all over the country will arrive in Birmingham for the event to be held at the corporate headquarters August 8-10. This year’s theme, “Illuminate,” is a nod to Gabby’s Garden Party debut.

“Garden Party is our favorite event because it gives us a chance to show our customers how much we appreciate them,” says CEO Bew White. “And because both the Summer Classics and Gabby brands appeal to the same dealers and designers, we think it’s a great opportunity for our customers to preview both lines in one place this year.”

This kitchen designed by Park & Oak, part of the Garden Party Design Panel, uses Gabby’s popular King Bar Stools.

Our customers will be the first to preview the new Gabby introductions, which include relaxed, comfortable looks that can go into modern transitional designs. The Gabby designers are taking a look at how people are living in their homes and designing pieces to beautifully fit their lifestyles. They’re also introducing new, unique materials in classic forms.

Attendees at this year’s event will have the chance to indulge in activities around the city including a morning at the spa, shopping in some of Birmingham’s quaint shopping districts and golfing. In addition to a tour of the headquarters and different round tables, our vendors have partnered with us to host special events for our guests. Actor and Producer Michael Young will emcee the events.

The schedule of events includes:

Tuesday, August 8
Lunch in the Summer Classics’ Café sponsored by Tempotest
Cocktail Hour I in the Showroom sponsored by Sunbury
Heritage Dinner I in the Summer Classics Outlet sponsored by Sunbrella

Wednesday, August 9
Lunch in the Summer Classics’ Café sponsored by ASF Global
Cocktail Hour at Mountain Brook Club sponsored by Bella Dura

Thursday, August 10

Wednesday afternoon will feature innovative marketplace ideas. It will begin with a design panel discussion led by Ellen Mcgauley, Homes Editor of Coastal Living magazine. Ellen will get a stylemaker perspective from industry leaders in the field, including Pam Kellogg of Designers Resource Collection, Christina Samatas & Renee DiSanto of Park & Oak Design and Jan Ware of Jan Ware Designs.

Following this Ken DeWitt, founder of DeWitt, LLC, will speak about the Entrepreneurial Operating System highlighting how to run your business more effectively.

“Garden Party is all about building relationships between our team and our dedicated customers,” says President William White. “And we look forward to sharing our new lines, and, as the retail landscape continues to change, sharing new ideas with our business partners.”
