Spring 2019 High Point Market Interior Design Trends

2019 interior design trends

The Gabby showroom did not disappoint as our creative team put together a beautiful showroom filled with over 60 new products, new fabrics, and our Tailored Quick-Ship Program (you don’t want to miss this – learn more here!). Check out a few of our favorite 2019 High Point Market interior design trends in the new Gabby product line!

Trend 1: All About Motion

The evolution of incorporating motion in furniture design is incredible. It is no longer used in the framework of your Grandfather’s old leather recliner, it has been reinvented to keep pace with what consumers want and how they live their lives.

Take Gabby’s newest chair design for example. The Helena Recliner not only is motorized by the click of a button but also includes a USB (for charging all devices), so that you can stay connected all of the time! Another trending motion upholstery piece includes our collection of sleeper sofas. You can learn more about these sleeping beauties HERE!

2019 Interior Design Trends | Lazy Susan Table

The Morgan Dining Table was Style Spotted by designer Lauren Thurman.

Speaking of motion, lazy Susans are all the rage this year, but the trick is to have them hidden within the table design. And guess what? Our designers did just that with the design of the new Morgan Dining Table. This ingenious design feature is perfect for family dining and entertaining, and it’s a great conversation starter!

Trend 2: White-toned Finishes

Who doesn’t love a gorgeous white piece of furniture? The clean-look can be paired with almost any room design, so there is no denying that neutrals are not going away anytime soon!

Gabby has always been known for designing lighter finishes paired with unique materials like brass and lucite, but this 2019 interior design trend had our designers think outside the box creating pieces with more modern forms and crisp lines.

2019 interior design trends | white washed wood finishes

Take the Jewel Chest, for example, the drawer fronts are covered with a white faux shagreen veneer that is matched by the white cerused finish. A combination of white cerused finish with the custom-fitted gold circle hardware design made for a show-stopping piece!

Trend 3: Unique Forms

Abstract, sculptural furniture is definitely trending for 2019 in the interior design world. With their unique form, sculptural furniture is a functional piece of artwork that rarely requires any additional accessories in a space.
