Sprinkled with the gorgeous gleam of antiqued metals and sprayed with an array of natural materials, the Gabby Showroom at Atlanta Market, AmericasMart strikes again. Layered with ornate rugs, unique antiques, and velvety smooth seating, the sophisticated vibe of the Showroom drew people in…. and the overflowing cheese boards and freshly made martinis kept them there to stay. Packed to the brim, a few special appearances were made including Katherine Cobbs & Kay Clarke from Southern Living Books and Brittany Hayes from Addison’s Wonderland.
This year, Gabby enjoyed a special creative collaboration with Birmingham artist Carrie Pittman. Carrie’s gorgeous paintings iced the walls of the showroom, creating excellent focal points. Pittman stated, “I wanted my art to compliment the furniture in the showroom and not compete while still representing my style.” Pittman added that “Gabby has beauty all in itself” and we believe her paintings were the perfect pairing with our new pieces.
Katherine Cobbs & Kay Clarke from Southern Living Books also stopped by the showroom and shared their thoughts: “We love how you mix antiques with your pieces so people can see what the furniture will look like in their home.” The ladies plan to use some of the Gabby furniture pieces and ideas in their upcoming photo shoots: “The materials are fantastic and we would love to incorporate that into our shoots.”
Brittany Hayes of Addison’s Wonderland completed a vignette at the Atlanta market that featured the Rachel Chandelier as a key component. Hayes’ theme for the vignette carried a darker feel. “I love the Rachel chandelier because it has a great sculptural quality and I felt like the gold would really pop against my black backdrop.” As a designer who loves working with color, Hayes added, “You guys have a really great mix in styles and colors and you don’t see a whole lot of color in design these days.” She sees the coming color trends to carry rich emerald tones and grays with a more beige hue.
A few favorites that our customers fell in love with at market included the Shannon Breakfast table, Octavia Chest, Quinn Chest, Baldwin Swivel Chair, and Simon Coffee table. They also loved the new display of Wall Sconces and lighting found throughout the showroom.
