At Gabby, we know that our customers are designing rooms that are livable while maintaining an elegant, sophisticated style. Our design team continues to stay ahead of the trends to create fresh looks with beautiful forms and timeless pieces that you’ll see July 11-18 at Americasmart.
“One of the biggest design shifts you’ll see in our products that we’re bringing to market now is that everything has really clean lines” says Gabby Designer Hillary Park. “And because we’re using really pretty materials and combinations, we’re creating a lot of classic forms and unique materials.”
You’ll also see that we’re introducing items in different sizes that were popular at our other markets. For instance, the Steadman Dining Table made of reclaimed oak with clean lines and soft, subtly arched aprons will now also be offered in a coffee table version.
Reclaimed wood continues to be a popular item for Gabby so you can expect to see more great pieces made out of this material. We’re also introducing more larger cocktail tables and storage pieces. “People really want a place to hide things,” says Hillary. “They have less of a need to display things and are asking for closed storage that also has some type of media functionality.”
There are also some great looking smaller tables that will be introduced at this market. These are made of interesting materials, including acrylic which blends seamlessly into spaces to keep rooms looking light and airy.
Tailored Collection
You’ll see some of your favorite upholstered collections offered in new pieces this market. The Wesley Settee will help to round out the popular Wesley Collection. We’ll also be debuting a sofa version of the Reese Chair, which features a feminine silhouette with a swooped arm and lumbar backed pillows.
“I’m really excited about the Waverly chair,” says Hillary. “It’s a beautiful silhouette. This petite barrel back chair has a bite in the arm and comes with a choice of a wooden leg for a traditional look or a lucite leg. And, best of all, it’s really comfortable.”
We’re also excited to showcase the sofa version of our Willow Chair in a 7 foot and 8 foot length. It has a rounded back and a bench seats and will come with pillows.
Lighting
“Like the rest of our collections, the lighting will have a thoughtful, simplicity in our designs this market,” says Designer Jill Harlan.
You can expect to see more two tone finishes that were popular at High Point. For instance, the Sampson Table Lamp made of mercury glass mixes swirls of black and silver. In addition, there will be several new ceramic lamps introduced this market such as the Sophie Table Lamp, which is a navy and white hand painted piece.
“We’re also continuing to incorporate natural stone,” says Jill. “Because we know that our customers really love it.”
