Clean lines, bold shapes and neutral finishes. These are the design themes you can expect to see from the spring 2020 collection of Gabby. This year our designers were inspired to develop new products around current industry trends, including geometric shapes, natural finishes and functional storage pieces. Consumers will see a fresh modern take on a variety of products, such as lighting, mirrors, dining tables, chests, cabinets, and open-storage pieces.
Gabby’s spring 2020 collection brings shapes and textures to life. The Jenny and Jennifer Chandeliers include new stone beads for an elegant yet clean look. Our six new mirrors feature unique shapes and marble finishes. Last, but certainly not least, the three-line extension pieces—Julia Chest, Sherman Chest and Strella Cabinet—showcase new fresh white finishes.
Kai-ning Huang, Gabby Senior Designer, shares her inspiration for this collection. “Our three High Point Showroom design elements are geometric and bold shapes, natural finishes or materials, and functional storage pieces—featuring large open-shelf and closed-drawer options.” Kai-ning explains that the April collection includes the whole development cycle, “meaning designers can expect that the new items released in October at High Point will have the same design feel and inspiration.”
A few of Kai-ning’s favorite pieces from this collection are the Olivia Table Lamp, Lily Chandelier, Swan Mirror, Norris Drinking Tables, Matthew Dining Table and the Glenwood Nightstand.
Sculptural-geometric and bold shapes
Designers will see Gabby lamps and tables that incorporate bold and geometric shapes in the base of the piece, rather than all over.
Metal
Gabby designers are particularly excited about playing with shapes in metal this season, specifically metal details in hardware. Our new products with metal details are balanced enough so they make it easy for even the more traditional consumer to adopt this popular trend.
Natural finishes and materials
Our team is introducing storage nightstands, chests and cabinets featuring Mindy Veneer, using cerused white and gray cerused oak finishes.
Functional storage pieces
Everyone needs more storage space, right? Gabby designers thoughtfully designed functional storage pieces with our customers in mind. From open shelf to closed drawers combined elements, these pieces are practical and yet stunning.
