2017 is predicted to be one of the best years the furniture industry has seen in decades, and that trend was certainly proven held true in the Gabby High Point Showroom this year. Despite the rainy, cold weather, our retail and design partners and the design trade media filled into our showroom to see the more than 100 new product releases Gabby showcased at High Point.
“The Gabby brand had another very strong High Point market,” says President William White. “Our merchandising and product development teams always strives to present a vast array of beautiful new products in a unique setting. For us, that’s the essence of market – to develop a compelling space with unique product concepts that resonate with our boutique and interior design customers.”
Gabby StyleMaker Lori Paranjappe of Nashville, TN, always stops by the Gabby showroom first to see what pieces she needs for her clients. One of her favorite pieces this market was the new Winslow Chair and a Half.
Several design editors toured the showroom, commenting on how much they loved the mixed materials. “The Gabby showroom is always filled with interesting material mashups,” says Clara Haneberg, Traditional Home Style Editor. “Shagreen with brass banding, metallics with concrete finishes, acrylic with tufted leather—all a feast for the eyes!”
“My favorite new introduction at Gabby this market were those blue and white ceramic lamps,” says Market Editor Dayle Wood of the Hearst Design Group. “I loved their hand-painted feel and think they would be just as beautiful in a beach house or in a city apartment. And you can never go wrong with blue and white!”
Each evening Gabby invited our customers to “Escape” with us with cocktails and snacks, including mixology craft drinks.
“We like to throw a great party to thank our customers for their business,” says William. “We sincerely hope they enjoy our products as much as we have enjoyed creating them.”
