With so much to uncover at High Point, there’s nothing better than a visit with the editors of Traditional Home to discover their take on the latest design trends and what they love right now. Thanks to Jill Waage, Editor in Chief, Krissa Rossbund, Senior Style Editor, Tori Mellott, Senior Design and Market Editor, and Clara Haneburg, Associate Style Editor, for stopping by the Gabby showroom to chat with us.
“As a design enthusiast, I feel like it’s important to be open to different styles,” says Krissa. “I’m a Louie girl so I love things that are classic. I like clean lines with a little something modern added to it such as acrylic.” She adds that design should be a mindful process that lets you mix a variety of styles––and you should always include pieces that you can’t live without.
Krissa loves Gabby’s acrylic pieces, especially the iconic Gabby bar stool that lets the architecture of the kitchen really shine. And she’s keen on the new Gabby acrylic lighting.
Ever since Clara was a kid, she’s gotten her inspiration from magazines. “I love to collect a huge stack of magazines,” she says. “And look through all of them.” Clara feels the strong connection between fashion and home design, as you’d likely see the monochromatic styles she wears in her home décor.
Some of her favorite new Gabby pieces are the Jonas Console Table and the Kenway Coffee Table. She loves how both mix different materials so well.
