High Point Furniture Market brings more than 75,000 people to High Point, North Carolina in search of the latest furniture market trends and finds. For Gabby, it is an all hands-on deck event full of hustle and bustle.
With market only a week away, our design team is putting their final touches to our new product introductions. “It’s been exciting to see all of our new products arriving,” says Gabby Designer, Kai-ning Huang, “We love the new finishes we are introducing and can’t wait to see how our customers at High Point react to them.”
The High Point Showroom
“Like the stunning continent of Africa, Gabby offers calming neutral desert tones to relaxing beach tones to the vibrant jungle colors which you will all find in our showroom,” said Jose Ramos, Regional Merchandising Manager for Summer Classics and Gabby. “Our goal is to offer our customers a world-class experience with products that are diverse, exciting and special. Like the chicness of an upscale Moroccan hotel, you will be able to experience a sense of escape that invites you in.”
Materials
While our biggest focus is on the quality and design of our new products, we also continuously focus on exploring new and unique materials to add to the Gabby line.
New Gabby Godric Barstool
“There are some great mixes of materials this market,” says Gabby Designer, Jill Harlan. “Not only have we explored new materials, but we have also expanded on some of Gabby’s favorites such as our use of Acrylic, which you will see in our new Godric Bar Stool, a more angular version of the popular King Bar Stool. The material has such unique characteristics and has continued to trend so well for Gabby as it offers sophistication and style, transitioning well with a variety of designs.”
We are also showcasing a new material that is organic in texture and unique in design – Cork. This surprising material, is featured on our new Lena Desk Console, which is finished in a white wash cork top, allowing the textural character of the natural cork to show through. The simple X base legs support the thick table top, and its small scale makes this a perfect writing desk or unique console table.

Upholstery
Sneak peak of new blush fabric introductions!
We are also excited to introduce 24 new fabrics and leathers to the Gabby upholstery line. These fabrics consists of new linens, linen blends, velvets, leather, and patterns that are subtle enough in design to still play well with our neutral solid fabrics. You will find color schemes such as emerald green, seafoam green, blush, glacier blue, and navy in our new fabric line as well. All on trend and sure to make for an exciting upholstered piece.
There will also be a total of 7 new upholstery design introductions this High Point market including a new sleeper sofa. You will find more feminine touches in the designs as well as clean sleek lines in the frame designs.

Lighting
Between table lamps, sconces and chandeliers, Gabby will introduce a number of new lighting pieces at High Point this furniture market season. In addition to showing a variety of interesting materials, you will find more of the all metal look in our new introductions for an added element of sophistication.
“Gabby is known for using unexpected materials in our lighting designs; however, for this season we really tried to focus on the scale of lighting in our designs,” says Gabby lighting designer, Jill Harlan. “As more and more of our customers have larger spaces with larger chandeliers, you will see larger sized lighting as well as unique and new shapes in some of our already best-selling designs.”
